Customers Approve Phase I of Water Main Cleaning/Cement Lining Project

PUD in conjunction with HWD is issuing a notice of outdoor water restrictions until further notice. Water levels are down, causing wells to pull air into the system, resulting in cloudy water. The restrictions consist of the following: irrigation of lawns via sprinklers or automatic irrigation systems, filling swimming pools, washing of vehicles, washing exterior buildings, parking lots, driveways and sidewalks. Watering vegetable gardens and maintenance of livestock is allowed. We ask that everyone please help to conserve water whenever possible.

This post will be taken down as soon as the water ban is lifted.

Thank you for your cooperation!

We are very pleased for the overwhelming customer support shown last night at our Annual Meeting for the Phase 1 of our water main cleaning/cement lining project.  This first phase will dramatically improve a significant part of our system.   The cleaning/lining project, with financing and grant money from USDA for Phase 1, will begin next year, and we hope to have this phase completed in 2017.  Generally , the Phase 1 area is bounded by Pascoag Main Street, North Street, Grove Street, Centennial Street, Laurel Hill, Church Street, and Broad Street, and includes the streets within that area.  Our long term goal is to bring our water system into as good a shape as our electrical system is.  Thank you to all those who came out to vote on this very important project.
