SmartFlower Solar Installation

PUD in conjunction with HWD is issuing a notice of outdoor water restrictions until further notice. Water levels are down, causing wells to pull air into the system, resulting in cloudy water. The restrictions consist of the following: irrigation of lawns via sprinklers or automatic irrigation systems, filling swimming pools, washing of vehicles, washing exterior buildings, parking lots, driveways and sidewalks. Watering vegetable gardens and maintenance of livestock is allowed. We ask that everyone please help to conserve water whenever possible.

This post will be taken down as soon as the water ban is lifted.

Thank you for your cooperation!

This is Scott Rabideau cutting the ribbon for the new SmartFlower solar installation at his and his wife Beth’s property on Hill Road. With him for the ribbon cutting are Mark Conroy of SmartFlower North America and Commissioner Carol Grant, head of the Rhode Island Office of Energy Resources. This unit will produce over 2.3 kW of power, and will save Scott and Beth money on their energy bills through Pascoag Utility District’s net metering program. The unit is a unique design that opens up automatically in the morning, folds back down at night or during high winds, and tracks the sun throughout the day. Pretty cool stuff! Congratulations to Scott and Beth for this very unique renewable energy addition.
